"Automatically Sign In" setting gets reset when restart computer

I set the “Automatically Sign In” setting in the General section of Plex Server and save the settings. I log in in in using email. If I log out and log in to Plex it works fine. Once I reboot my computer the setting is always unchecked and therefore I need to sign in manually and reset the Automatically sign-in setting.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

If it’s a browser you’re using then it’s probably your cookie settings

If you’re using Chrome disable Block all cookies and Clear cookies and site data when you quit Chrome

Or you can install the Plex for Windows or Plex for iOS app

Thanks so much. I “Allowed all cookies”, did not have “Clear Cookies…” checked. Turned off do not track, VPN, firewall and anti-virus. Still doesn’t work. I don’t think any of this would physically change the flag in the application anyway. That has to be done from within Plex. It’s like the save button doesn’t work for that one field. I tried to save other fields and that works.

Any other thoughts appreciated but this is such a small thing probably not worth everybody’s time

Yeah I don’t know why it would keep unticking that box inside the app

I don’t even have that box checked and I never have to sign in to mine

I think it’s because I have this checked in Chrome

The tab I open with Plex just remembers where I was if I close the browser or restart the computer

No problem is a small problem if you have to do it over and over lol

Hopefully someone who’s had this problem before knows why it’s happening or an easy way to fix it.

There is also 3rd-party software which removes cookies from your browser. CCleaner and similar come to mind.
You might have web browser add-ons installed which do the same.
You need to determine the responsible software and create an exception rule for the domain plex.tv in its preferences.
