each time I log in, I am prompted to “finish setup” and select catagories for the home screen. This only recently started. I have also noticed my settings will no longer save, for instance I had theme music play and background images showing, but both are now unchecked in settings and will not save when I check them. All was working fine until I logged in to plex.tv with my account, now the local server seems to have lost my settings and will not save them.
What are you using to load the web app?
Is it a bookmark? If so, what is the actual, complete URL?
In order to retain settings, your browser must not delete the cookies from plex.tv when it is closed. (Most browsers do this now by default.) So you need to tell your browser not to do that.
I believe I may have found the solution from your comment. The browsers where set not to delete cookies, but an app I have on the PC, “ccleaner” recently updated itself and it was deleting all cookies on close. I cleared that and the settings now appear to be saving. Hope this helps anyone else who may have this happen in the future.
