Automatic optimisation and deletion of originals

I would love a feature that automatically optimises the entire library, and then deletes un-optimised files.

I have an old machine, which can’t transcode everything fast enough, and don’t have space to keep multiple copies of every file. I currently have to go through the process of manually triggering optimisation of each show/movie, then moving the new versions outside of the plex folders, deleting the originals, and moving the optimised versions back in to the plex folders.

If this was part of PlexPass, I would definitely sign up! (I love Plex, and have been using it for years. I want to contribute financially, but I can’t see anything of value in the current PlexPass offer.

I think what you’re asking for is already covered in this existing feature suggestion. If so, I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to avoid distracting/dispersing votes.

[Feature Request] Keep the optimized movie version only

I would be able to provide a way to delete the original movie and keep the optimized version automatically
