Automatic/Partial scans taking 9 minutes to add/remove a single episode

I am running an Unraid Docker and one day I noticed things were taking a long time to add. Normally I am not poking around so I don’t know how long this has been going on but highlighted from the scanner logs below it just sits there and keeps running “Retrieve Items” for 8-9 minutes then adds/removes the episode. Just for reference it takes about 8 minutes to scan the entire TV shows section, and its taking 9 minutes to auto add one episode.

Things I’ve done…

  • Optimized the Database
  • Cleaned Bundles
  • Checked if there were any orphaned directories in the “add folders” section of TV Shows

If this isn’t enough information is there another log I can look into?

Well I’m going through clearing out what I can just in case it’s interfering with scanner. I have about 24GB of Sync videos sitting in PlexMediaServer\Library\Application Support\Plex Media Server\Cache\Transcode can I delete all of that without a problem?

Nothing has changed and i cant figure it out, what is making the automatic scanner take so long to cycle? This example took 10 minutes to add one episode.

I tried looking at the log between those times and there is nothing that stands out, has anyone ever seen this happen? Its not a slow query error, scanning the items takes 50ms…but there is a 2 to 3 minute pause in between what I assume is each folder?
