One amazing feature of Immich, which I recently installed, is Automatic URL Switching, which allows me to add many local and multiple domain-based URLs. It facilitates my connection to immich in a number of ways.
This Plex feature escaped my notice. Can we also have this in plex?
I may be wrong about the tag, but my point is below.
I access the plex on my Truenas server using a cloudfare tunnel. The cloudfare tunnel, which has a limited bandwidth, is used if I want to connect locally (TV or mobile app).
When I’m locally,in Immich, it connects to localhost automatically (which does not have bandwidth issue), and when I’m not, it connects to Cloudfare Tunnel.
Additionally, I use Tailscale as a backup of cloudfare tunnel so that I may connect to server in the event that Cloudfare is down, but my plex has no provision (that I know of).
Yes, i am using it in plex. i am not talking about functionality but ease of use (for a non technical user, which i feel is not that great as immich one),
What i feel, you can add in your to do, if it make sense.
I’m still not sure what you asking for.
You can put all the URLs to your tunnels into “Custom server access URLs”.
Clients will automatically make use of them, sticking to the first that works. So you may have to switch them around, with the most preferred connection listed first.
