I am checking out a new program that can encode using AV1. I made a 14 sec sample from an 8 min video and put it in my folder with the rest of my Plex videos. The video will play on Windows Media Player and VLC, although it does not have a thumbnail like all my other videos. Plex does not even see the video.
Does Plex not support AV1 or is the clip too short or…?
Yep, that was it. My file did say sample. I removed it and it popped up and it played.
