Avoid tracks during shuffling

I use the shuffle feature the most, and would love it if I could just mark an entire album to be skipped on shuffle. I have bought a lot of movie scores over the years and usually only want to listen to those songs when I specifically want too and not on a shuffle.

You can vote for that feature (although that’s no guarantee it’ll be implemented soon / at all).

Ability to exclude media items from shuffle modes

Now that Christmas is behind us, I’m seriously regretting adding almost 200 Christmas-themed songs to my Plex library as they’re now interspersed into things like Library Radio and music library shuffle. In iTunes, you have the ability to exclude individual songs from shuffle by ticking a “Skip when shuffling” option on a track. It’d be great to have this functionality in Plex, not only for Christmas music, but also for things like comedy/spoken word albums, which aren’t really suited to being …

Alternatively… have you considered moving those movie score albums into a separate library?

Or add a “soundtrack” label (or any name you want) then create a smart playlist that excludes “soundtrack”.
