Awfully slow FF/RW during transcoding

@Kwiboo mentioned this on GitHub.

Parts of this feature request is included in the 1.6.0 release.

There is now support for adaptive seeking and once adaptive seeking is performed the video is paused and a small preview thumbnail will be shown if PMS has generated video preview thumbnails.

Anyone know how to get this work? Adaptive seeking seems to work well, but I haven’t gotten the small preview thumbnail to show up on any of my content.

You need to have generated video preview thumbnails for all of your media (be careful if you decide to do this, they take a huge amount of storage, depending on you library sizes)?

This is what adaptive seeking uses for the small preview.

Regards

I’m testing on media I have generated BIF video preview thumbnails. I have not been able to see a single thumbnail when seeking through the file when direct playing. Is there a setting I’m missing?

Can you raise an issue on Github, and add a log file, enable debug, restart RPi, start video playing, try seeking, stop video, start another video playing, try seeking, stop video, copy log file.

Thanks
