I have a HDHR Prime and I’ve seen twice now, since setting this up yesterday, that back to back recordings on the same channel causes the 2nd one to start 5 minutes late. I have not set any minutes to record before or after. Are others seeing the same thing? I would assume Plex would just continue using the same tuner channel, but start the second recording on time.
I’m on version 1.10.0.4523
Did you enable “commercial removal” for the first show and were you recording another show at the same time as the first show (i.e. tying up two tuners)? In this scenario, I am wondering if the first tuner is tied up during the (new, built-in with PMS 1.10.0.4523)) post commercial removal process and once finished (e.g. 5 minutes later), the tuner is released (available) and your second show starts recording.
No, the commercial removal was not checked. At the time, only one tuner was active and no other recordings were scheduled. Even if the 2nd recording would have selected its own tuner, it was available. Several other shows seem to start a little late, even though it was not back to back with another and no other records at the time either. There seems to be a delay, maybe just my system, on getting the recordings started.
Here’s an example without the issue. I recorded ALF overnight on METV, they had two back to back episodes, everything worked fine and I saw the same minute or so overlap recorded at the end of the first and start of the second.
With the 1 minute pre and post add-on setup with the recording, the schedule still showed up as 5-5:30 and 5:30-6, so the EPG for that show must be 5:01 to 5:29 and 5:31 to 5:59
My setup is a Hauppauge QuadHD PCI, DVR set to use experimental inline transcoding, commercial removal on the ALF series.
ALF is the best.
I just had this happen again with 2 movies that were back to back on the same channel. I’m going to start the 2nd one 5 minutes earlier next time to see how this affects it.
