Media files do not belong in the Plex share.
Changing permission in any way for the Plex share is going to cause unforeseen problems.
This is a No-No
The Plex share is for my use (as the developer) to keep your metadata.
All the media goes in shares you create.
I will find and attach the link to the post on how to correct the damage which has been done.
This is the proper way to migrate from Windows / Mac to Synology.
I realize the metadata (Library) is now in place.
Please follow the rest of the procedure to set ownership and permissions as they should be.
If they are not, when Plex is next updated, the installer will launch the corrective action This can adversely impact performance until completed.
