Are there any automatic ways of keeping my library backedup, looked att sync (like google drive) but it sounded more like cloud storage/usage instead of backup.
Otherwise I guess i could let something run in the background and upload the photolibrary to google drive now and then
There are many, many ways of solving that - and there are at least a handful of threads about backups.
You need to first of all work out how much data you’re wanting to back up, how important it is to you, and how much you’re willing to pay to protect it.
Plex provides no capabilities for backing up your data. Watch too that bi-directional sync is anything but backup.
Small as in a few MB, a few GB or a few TB Amazon Cloud drive offers free unlimited photo storage for Prime members, or “unlimited” storage for $60/year. Backblaze B2 is free for up to 10 GB. Tools like rclone allow you to back up to these, and others. Ideally you want to use a provider that supports versioning (B2 does), so that if you overwrite or otherwise alter a file you can recover the original.
