I used plex previously without any problems. Last couple of months every time I try to watch a movie 720/1080p MKV or MP4 on plex app in xbox one, it looks horrendous. I end up casting the video to my xbox one via wins 10 (quality looks great btw). I am no expert on streaming or plex in general. I just know it used to work, and now it’s worthless. I have googled with no answers to be found. The picture quality is very blurry and pixelated. I would appreciate any help. Thanks
You can select the quality for the stream. Most likely you are downmixing it to a very low quality.
Set “Original” on the preplay page
or
When the movie is running hit ‘A’ on the controller, move to the […] and select there Original video quality.
Omg thank you so much. I had all the settings to “original” on plex in my browser. But I did not know I had to change it on the xbox as well. As soon as I changed the quality on the xbox via … it looks great. I can’t thank you enough.
