Last night, my brother and I were interested in watching the Joan Jett Bad Reputation documentary on Plex. However, when we were watching it, we noticed that the peoples lips were moving, but no sound was coming out. All the other sound effects and music were present, but none of the actual audio from the people being interviewed. And this is confirmed when turning on the subtitles, because you see the words at the bottom, so there is supposed to be audio playing.
I took a class on sound design, and there’s basically three different tracks you have, when editing the audio of a movie. Dialogue, Sound Effects, and Music. Apparently the version that Plex received was the music and sound effects only, and so the person sending in the movie, and the person receiving the movie didn’t bother checking.
If anyone at Plex is able to contact the original distributors and work out the audio issue, me and my brother would greatly appreciate it.
