I purchased a plex pass and I have a Vizio tv with a Plex app, I used my Ipad and all I get is 30 second previews of the music and no Live TV? any suggestions, I also just purchased an [Google Chromecast (3rd Generation which I will install as soonas I get it, I am reluctant to upgrade not sure if Plex is going to work, is common on the $4.99 trial to just get sample music and no live TV?

Plex does not provide the Live TV service… You need an Antenna or a Cable Provider, and an appropriate Tuner for the service you’re wanting Plex to pick up for you.
What about just 30 seconds on the music?
Plex does not provide content. The 30 Second clips of Music are what Tidal gives you to try the song to see if you want to pay for Tidal. You can pay for Tidal and link it with Plex, and you can Backup your movie and tv show collection and store them on hard drives, and plex will corral them all in a nice little package with a beautiful interface for you. But it won’t give you any content (this may change with what’s happening with I think it was Warner Brothers). You have to provide all of the content in order to make plex work for you in the manner in which it’s built for.

your forum account already has plex pass, either via trial or subscription.
you should not need to play the 4.99 to unlock the ipad if you have logged into the same plex account/email as your forum account.
if your plex pass expires, then you will need to play the 4.99 to unlock mobile apps (phone/tablet).
all other devices plex app except mobile/tablet are free.
this means
to get live tv, you must have

you do not need tidal to play your own music.
