I’m really looking forward to testing transcoding with the B580. I currently only have it running in Jellyfin, but due to the lack of apps, I need it in Plex.

I will be posting a forum preview with it probobly later this month once ive addressed some regressions in ffmpeg 6 that were discobered when it hit beta last week.

I am still trying to tackle fixes for the transcoder update. once i have all the critical and high priority issues ironed out I will spin up a build with the updated drivers. I want to make sure any issues you guys encounter are from the drivers and not from the update. It will make my life much easier when debugging

So to confirm Intel Arc will be supported here soon? I’ve been dying to use my B570 for many months now in my system.
Battlemage (B570, etc.) support in Plex Media Server requires updated drivers.
Fixing issues with the new transcoder comes first.
Then updated drivers.
You can subscribe to the Plex Media Server announcement thread to be notified of new releases. Scroll to the bottom of the thread and change Normal to Watching.
You will also be notified of any updates on this thread.

Yeah I’m running Ubuntu Server 24.0.3 LTS with kernel 6.14.11 as its the latest HWE version on that. My plex is running in a docker container as well. I’ve also followed Installing Client GPUs — Intel® software for general purpose GPU capabilities documentation to ensure those are installed and running.

Chris just fixed a very high priority problem which was blocking release.
I don’t know if it’s the last one or not but it was a “show-stopper” and was difficult to track down.
