Be able to select genre on music

I have my music set up in Genres and it would be nice to be able to get Alexa to select a genre to play.

As a Lifetime Plex Pass subscriber, it would be awesome to put all of that genre metadata to some good use. The Alexa skill can shuffle on an artist, so why not on a genre? Suggestions on a genre would be welcome as well.

Just tried doing this with Alexa and failed. I just automatically assumed it would be one of the first features. I’m shocked that it isn’t implemented.

Any updates to being able to have alexa play the genre feature? It would save me a ton of time copying my genres to playlists every time a make an update to a genre in my library.

I’m also really interested in being able to browse Plex by genre. I have tastes in a lot of different directions and sometimes I’m in the mood for a specific style and want to browse that narrowly.

I second this feature! Being able to search by genre would be huge! I have a fairly large library sorted this way, and i think it would be helpful to have, as to integrate into moods as well.

Any updates on this? Basically in need of a simple way to ask Alexa to play music selections from any tag that supports multiple entries. One of which is the Genre tag.
