I saw this was suggested already a few months ago but the topic was closed and it seemed that it was not understood correctly.
In the web client when you look at an album you can see its genre and then even clock on the genre to see all other albums that fit under it. In Plexamp however, that is missing and it would be cool to have it because I often don’t know what to listen next but I’d like to stay in the same genre.
When I’m playing music or browsing my library, I don’t see a convenient way to see the genre of the music I’m looking at.
I’m not talking about moods or styles, but the actual genre I tagged to the files myself.
Could it be possible to add the genre(s) to the album page at least?
This is an excellent idea.
It’s odd and frustrating that I’m Plexamp you can’t see genres on album pages, just styles.

Bump! It’s so annoying we still don’t have such a simple thing
Gonna have to bump this, have googled this as it seems such a weird glaring thing to be missing, and it’s been discussed for 2+ years now, and i’d very much like to use it in the way i listen to music but not an option for now. even if it was an experimental/labs/optional toggle where the padding and spacing sometimes wasn’t perfect, that’s okay, i’d still love it
