Best setting for me to stream1080p/ 2160p Movies

hello iam using my main pc as server for now
spec:
intel core i7 7700k
32gb ram
1070
plex ver: 1.16.3.1402
internet: 300 downlaod 75 upload
i have some 4k movies x265 but when i stream from outside its buffrening what best setting to use for me
Note: iam new to plex

Don’t stream 4K remotely.

i try 1080p mkv mp4 both x264 and x265 and still transcoding i dont know how can i avoid it

With 4K, you probably never can for remote connections.

Check the settings on the remote clients. On many, the default settings limit video to 4 Mbps / 720p, which will cause the video to transcode.

Check PMS Settings -> Remote Access on your server. Set Internet Upload Speed to 75 Mbps. Set Limit Remote Stream Bitrate to Original.

In PMS Settings -> Transcoder, make sure you have Hardware Acceleration checked (must Show Advanced to see setting).

Realize that sometimes remote streams will buffer not matter what. You’re at the mercy of the Internet. Even if you have a solid connection at home and at the remote location, you’ve zero control over what is in the middle.
