Beta 1.20 - both builds return Resource Loader Error

Both beta builds of 1.20 have caused the same error for me. As soon as I launch the Plex app on Apple TV I get a “Resource Loader Error”. Same issue with both builds. I can navigate to playlists and channels, but on the Home screen I get this error without any of my media displayed.

Reverting back to the 1.19 build resolves the issue. I’d be happy to capture and submit logs if needed.

Have seen same exact issue, neither worked

Which tvOS version are you running?

I’m getting problem too had to go back to 1.19 both 1.20 give error even rebooted server Plex pass latest and reboot ATV 4 current latest update 11.1 (15J582)

Hi guys,

Sorry this is happening to you! We suspect this is a problem with Apple failing to render an element on your home screen.

Could you please enable network logging and then go back to the home tab (it should try to reload it again).

After reproducing the issue, please post the date/time it happened so we can investigate further.

Just enabled network logging and generated the error. Logs should be captured as of right now.

Thank you @Mattchris!

Unfortunately, the logs only reveal that Apple TV is failing to load the TVML page:

Nov 24 02:59:45 Plex logger: Plex for Apple TV 1.20 - tvOS 11.2 [Mattchris] 2017/11/23 21:59:45.825 (90 MB) (1490602) I PTVBridgeConsole.m:32 | ResourceLoader ERROR: There was an error attempting to load the resource http://localhost:32500/appletv/render-proxy/Hubs/4cc5a44f7e52790fb077b10b207d7d0f0e2472c7/hubs?includeLibraries=1&count=20&excludeFields=summary&includeEmpty=1&synthetic_includeMediaProviders=1

This is not enough to diagnose a cause, and Apple isn’t providing any more information.

Could you please share your server with me (hsousa)? Hopefully it’ll reproduce on my device and I can properly debug it that way.

We identified the issue and are working on a fix, which should be included in the next beta update.

Thank’s for reporting this and providing feedback!

Hey guys, the latest beta build includes a fix for this.

Could you please update and confirm everything’s working for you now?

Thanks!

Hi Hugo,
Yes! The most recent Beta is working! Thanks so much for tracking down the issue.
