Beta 1.32.6.7371 - Server slowing down loading metadata

Server Version#: 1.32.6.7371

I have an installation of PMS beta 1.32.6.7371 loaded on QNAP. This issue has started creeping up. A few days ago it started happening with Plex Web where it won’t load the actors faces when in a title (TV and Movies). It seemed to work fine on my Shield. Now this slow loading has proliferated to my Sheild as well and is starting to affect covers of thigns like season covers and related title covers when in a title. It hasn’t seemed to affect library covers yet. It happens wether I’m remote or local to the server. I’ve tried optimizing the DB, refreshing the metadata on a few libraries, scanning the drive for errors that PMS is installed on, and restarting the server entirely. What logs can I look in to see if there’s something timing out or something like that? As far as I can tell, there’s no issue with th eservice at all. inbound/outbound speeds are fine and stremaing also works fine.

@BigWheel are there any reported bugs like this with this beta release?

afaik that issue is being fixed currently and should be out soon. from what I was told it generally happens when accessing the server remotely via the web or desktop apps.

I don’t know what you mean by “library covers”

not that I know of offhand specifically with beta but I will ask out QA guys when they are around

generally the Plex Media Server.log is where to start ( the one without a number is the newest and the higher the number the older it is)

I meant the covers you see when you go into a library. Posters maybe? The issue is only when I drill down into the library entry.

For instance, when I load this cartoon, see the episode thumbnails all missing:

The theme music is delayed as well.

It does eventually load:

And then the theme music starts. I attached my plex media server log, in case you have time to help me troubleshoot a little. None of the errors in there seem related. I dont’ have transcoding turned on on my server, but if any of the errors in that seem relevant to you, I’m willing to start digging.

Plex Media Server.log (2.0 MB)

There’s a lot of “Error while decoding stream #0:1: No space left on device” errors on the front end, but that’s not true. The drive for transcoding has about 1TB free and it should only be doing audio.

Also, I should note, I have 2 Plex servers that mirror each other, and the secondary one does NOT exhibit this issue.

Last thought, streaming is not impacted and starts immediately without issue

I figured I’d poke around and see if I could find an issue with the database. Following the instructions here I figured I’d check the integrrity of the Plex Database. However, when I try to VACUUM, I get the following error:
sqlite error

None of my system disks are even close to being full. Is it possible the database is full as it suggests?

Additional info: I tried logging into SSH as the “admin” user in case it’s a permissions issue (usually “admin” is disabled), and I got the same error.
