I have also confirmed that the separate listings of the same series in (2) libraries did not cause the issue.
I moved the Nova series folder from both library search directories, refreshed both libraries so the series listings were fully removed, cleared library bundles, and emptied library trash.
I then added it only to the new Beta Library and still had the same problem.
It appears we do have a confirmed bug in the metadata pull by the Beta agent.
I think TheTVDB (Aired) is giving actual, correct aired order, even if that isn’t what you want or expect.
I agree that the data sources seem confused, and don’t understand why TheTVDB (Aired) gives the actual aired order, differing from the web site listing of production-code ordering.
The The Movie Database (Aired) data might match what you’re looking for. It appears to have the production code order, and seems to match your file naming. (But it isn’t the real Aired order.)
I am having trouble manually matching a show, the scanner doesn’t find it so when I try to manually do it using the tvdb-400132 (that’s its actually code) it returns a No matches found page.
If so it was created on tvdb within the last few days and does not exist yet on imdb or tmdb. While the new scanner allows you to match/search off tvdb, tmdb and imdb ids I believe that shows have to have a imdb record to begin with as that is like the main starting point for shows references within plex.
I’d guess until a imdb record for this show gets created plex won’t pick it up with its scanner. I’m sure @drzoidberg33 will be able to confirm.
I think this is an issue we have currently when the images have no language information, I’ll confirm next week when everyone is back after the long weekend.
I’m having trouble with the series Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters (TVDB / TMDB).
My metadata language is set to German and the new Agent successfully grabs the correct (german) metadata for the first three episodes of the first season, but fails to do so beginnng with Into the Hornet’s Nest, calling it Into The Hornet’s Nest (Part 1 of 2) instead of Im Hornissennest even though that episode has german titles/plots in both DBs.
re 1/ Plex commented the localization of the complete metadata (incl. season titles, descriptions…) is still in finalization
re 2/ TMDb alternate orders are not (yet) supported; from what I understand they’re on a roadmap, no ETA
re 3/ the new agent already does exactly that… you can add show/season/episode level extras. Android/iOS clients will show extras on all levels, tvOS just added support for episode level extras – other client might for now only display show level extras.
Yeah just weird that it worked as intended for the first three episodes.
It was difficult to find that info in this thread as it’s already too long to read but thanks for letting me know.
Didn’t notice it when I switched but that’s good to hear. I’ll maybe try it later with a test library.
I’ve already reverted to the old TVDB agent (for now) but it’s good to hear that my points are/will be addressed. Will probably wait for it to leave beta before switching yet again.
The issue with the translations is that we currently only have TMDB translations for episodes, so if the episodes aren’t the same between TMDB and TVDB then we can’t use the translation from TMDB.
This is currently in the works and we should hopefully have TVDB episode translations at some point soon (providing we don’t run into any major blockers).
Regarding extras you can see the first post in this thread which outlines what is currently supported:
I cannot be sure but my guess is this is because “Hall of Flame” doesn’t have much metadata in any of those… TheTVDb.com have most and all they got is episode names like “Episode 1” and an air date. So my guess is it’s not so much an issue of pulling metadata but having no metadata. In order to get the little metadata there is you’ll need to set the show to TheTVDb.com airing order.
The metadata for “Expedition Deep Ocean” has only just been added. So my guess is it’ll start showing up if you refresh the metadata in 1-2 days.
Okay, it looks like everything was set up correctly on my part but the web client didn’t show them. However I did notice that the extras don’t show up when I hide the seasons (e.g. for miniseries). Only when I put the extras in the root TV show folder (instead of the season folder) they’ll show up. Not a big deal but would be nice if that’s solved at some point.
So as this seems to be the current “if we spot an issue post it” spot.
I’ve had pretty good luck with the new agent and the majority of my shows when I updated my library.
I just ran into an odd issue with one show, and thought I would bring it up.
The animated shorts of The Pink Panther. which in theTVDB is
This entry’s numbering & naming matches up to the files that I was able to track down (season & episode) and should be a match, but I think in the backend merger of data sets, its gotten a little iffy. The closest match in theMovieDB is
Which has a different # of episodes (and titles) that don’t sync up.
So currently it is coming up as matching to the show level of the Movie Database, but none of the episodes will match up.
