As for the 2nd and 3rd part of your suggestion:
There’s already an existing suggestions discussing those features. Please comment/vote in those threads to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.
- Support for different versions/editions of albums → Better support for multiple versions of Music Albums
- Manually set/override the type/format from within Plex → Music Release Type (Category) - Manual Edit
As a side note: Plex can read the release type from specific tags in your file.
