Would love to have the ability to share playlists with other users / friends. I too moved my Music from Subsonic to Plex (which I already used for Movies and TV), and have been super pleased other than the lack of sharing Playlists. It’s probably one of the only shortcomings of the product.
I would like to see this too please. I have migrated from Amazon Music to Plex, but the playlists was a great feature for sharing with the family.

I would love to see Shared Playlists. Summer is coming. A nice playlist sharing feature for friends would be great.

+1 Wow, this is still not a thing?! I found this thread because I was trying to do just that. I create a monthly music mix which is available through the folder view but I wanted an easy way to share it with the family. I created the list only to find out that other users can not see it. This feature would be very helpful to me. A simple tick box that would say “Share playlist with other users”.

+1 As far as I can gather people have been asking for this feature for a very LONG time. I’m note sure why the PLEX team is so against this. Creating Public playlists would be such a useful feature. For example, I have a collection (a drive) with animated movies. I don’t want to sort the files themselves into sub directories, I like having them all in one place, but I could create a playlist with all the Studio Ghibli films, in order or production… or how about a playlist with all the MCU movies, in order. I can think of several cases like that. A way to share a group of movies or video files in a certain watching order because they all relate to each other. I get that you can create collections but that’s a hassle. Even if sharing playlists is too difficult, at least allow the admin to create public playlists that all the users can access.

They’re not against it. It’s just taking a long time.
+1 definitely need the ability to share playlists with other users in my Plex home
People have been asking for this for almost 3 years now… I’m surprised that this function has been over looked, as it would be one of the greatest tools an admin could use. Right now if you want to have a “playlist” that everyone can see, you have to make a folder and have a duplicate of the media in that folder… that is just ridiculous.

I took the time to create playlists for Christmas movies, Marvel MCU, and all Disney movies. I didn’t know until today that these lists were not being seen by my wife’s system in the living room.
We babysit our little nieces and the Disney list was created especially for them to be able to load a random Disney movie and go.
We use Xbox Ones so we can’t even search as it is.
And Collections don’t help in the case of MCU, where my playlist comprises both theatrical releases and TV shows in chronological order.
Seriously, guys, this should not be on a back burner somewhere. This should be a priority.

OMG, for a second I thought this feature request was locked.
i would also like this feature. I have an anime series with several different orders you can watch the episodes in, being able to make and share playlists of the different watch orders would be nice.
Yeah, like sharing playlists of “Classic movies”, “Action movies”, “Oscar nominees”, etc… this could be very cool and incorporated like in Spotify, where users can follow users and their playlists. Good idea! +1
I took a lot of time to create playlists for complicated story lines like all of the Marvel movies and TV episodes in order, all of the Stargate seasons and shows in order, all of the Star Trek movies and TV episodes in order. I would like to share these kinds of playlists with my son without granting him access to my account on my Plex server.
I’m a lifetime premium member and I would love this feature to be added.
Please add Playlist Sharing.

I have done the same thing… Every star trek episode from Enterprise, TOS, TAS, TNG, DS9, Voyager… all episodes base on STARDATE with movies included in their correct positions… Same with Stargate episodes & movies, Babylon 5 episodes and movies, Marvel movies, and many others… I would LOVE to be able to share these playlists…

It should be done, but if Plex has not listened for nearly 3 years, you think this will EVER be implemented???
