I purchased an Audiocast (www.audiocast.io) device that uses WiFi to broadcast Plex music to my a regular stereo out on my back patio, which plugs into the auxiliary input of the stereo (no TV, etc out there). I felt WiFi would provide better quality than a bluetooth device and indeed, it is very good quality. However, the only way to stream music from Plex to that device is from the Audiocast app on my iPhone, etc. The Audiocast cast app only allows me to stream an album from a “Home Sharing” DNLA network like Plex, I cannot choose genre, all songs from an artist or shuffle songs. Even though the selections are there, you can’t start playing until you get to an album. I looked at the Plex speaker output on my phone and it only sees my iPhone as an option. Unlike Amazon Music Prime, it does recognize the Audiocast as a speaker. I would really like it if Plex would provide support for the Audiocast.io device so I can use the Plex interface, rather than the limited options of the Audiocast app. Thanks.
