"Better Version Available" picture quality streaming option

Like most of us, I have a library in Plex. I also have access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu+. There are others out there, I just pay for these 3 streaming options.

Suppose I want to watch a movie. If I have the movie in DVD quality in my Plex library, but the same movie is available for me to stream in 1080P from a service, I will likely want to stream it. If the resolution and bitrate are better in my library, I’ll watch it from my library. If they are better streaming, I may want to watch it streaming.

While I know sites like http://canistreamit.com give me some of this information, integrating the information in Plex at runtime would be helpful.

While it only work in plex/web, take a look at the Chrome extension Transmogrify.
It integrates http://canistreamit.com into the plex/webinterface.
