Blank screen with negative time on progress bar at end of episode, then skips next episode

Having an issue with Plex player on a 2017 Shield TV.

At the end of some episodes, it’ll play past the episode time into a blank screen and go into negative numbers (as in -0:14 for example).

When I press the skip button to go to the next episode, it seemingly queues up the next episode and then skips it, going to the autoplay screen, the one that shows what the next episode is with suggestions on the bottom, before autoplaying the episode.

For example, if I’m watching an episode 1, it’ll act like it plays ep2 then it goes straight to the preview screen of ep3 before autoplaying.
