The Plex web site (plex.tv/apps/streaming-devices/roku/) states “Record your favorite free HDTV digital broadcast channels right to your Plex Media Server—-including local news and sports—-then watch anywhere in the world! DVR recordings can be watched on any Plex-enabled device.”
This is a blatant lie. It is NOT possible to record via the Roku app.
It doesn’t say you can record from any device… read what you quote!
It says you can record with your Plex Server (I’m sure the page mentions this requires a Plex Pass membership). The „any device“ part is about playback of recorded content.
On the Roku app feature set, it says you can record TO your Plex server. ALL other DVRs I have ever seen (Comcast, Verizon, Tivo) allow the viewer to record via a TV interlace.
I have (had) a Plex Pass membership. This was not the issue. The issue is that there is no record option on the Plex Roku app. How can you call it a Digital Video Recorder if you cannot record?
They also failed to mention that their “programming” guide only shows programs within 1 hour (hour, not day or week). All other DVRs show at least a week’s worth of programming.
