bluetooth error "protocol not available" with bluetooth headphones

I tried connecting a JBL Synchros E50BT with my rasplex (pi3) and Always get the error ‘protocol not available’
According to the specs however it supports BT3.0 and A2DP. I thought rasplex was using alsa-a2dp so there should be no issue?

Has anyone alse successfully used a bluetooth headset with rasplex?

Currently BT audio is not supported, it will be in the next release.
