Bogus sync errors in PMS?

Server Version#: 1.16.4.1469
Player Version#: 4.2.1

I’m trying to sync music and movies to my phone. In the web client, server status tab, when I select my phone from the dropdown, it says “{device} was last seen 5 months ago. Syncing will resume next time you launch Plex on this device.” I tried sync’ing from my PC’s web client to my device and I tried sync’ing via the mobile app on my phone. I even restarted my server running PMS (OS patches) and still that bogus sync status message appears.

How do I get the bogus error message to go away?
How do I get PMS to show the correct status?

Update:
I found the problem. PMS created a 2nd sync device, one which I selected a year ago and another which just says “TV POWERED BY ANDROID?” which is apparently my phone. Go figure.
So…how do I fix PMS so it correctly identifies my phone as a single device, and preferably NOT a TV since it’s a phone, not a TV?:grin:
