On Windows Server 2012 R2 using a HDHomeRunPrime (with cable card). It finds the HD Home Run device fine, displays the channels fine, asks for the postal code, and then the next screen where it lists the device channels and guide channels is shown. Clicked on the Continue button. The “waiting” donut/wheel spins in the button and it doesn’t seem to progress. I’ve left it running for an hour, rebooted, and it’s still having issues. I can click on the Cancel button, which cancels the DVR setup.
Has anyone experienced the same kind of issue? At this point I’m stuck and can’t get the DVR setup.
Try and delete the DVR and start the procedure again. I had this happen in an earlier BETA but I thought it was fixed.
Okay, finally figured it out. Here’s what I did in case anyone else hits this:
- Uninstalled Plex and reinstalled the new version
- Using the HDHomeRun Setup, make sure that the “Use this PC for making recordings” (on DVR tab) is NOT checked
- Enter the DVR setup in Plex
- Pick the HdHomeRun device in the first screen
- On the next screen, click on the “Scan Channels” even if it shows some channels already
- The rest of the screens for DVR setup ran through just fine and finally got to the success screen.
I’m still having this problem on a Synology DiskStation DS916+ and DiskStation DS1812+ running DSM 6.0.2-8451 Update 9 with Plex 1.4.1.3362-77c6f4f80 and both a HDHomeRun Connect and Prime. I finally worked thru some earlier problems, but when I get to the end and all the channel mapping looks good, I hit “Continue” and it just sits there - never completes.
I’ve run out of ideas. Any help will be greatly appreciated
Just got the HDHomerun Prime and - Plex plexmediaserver-1.5.3.3580-4b377d295.x86_64 running on CentOS 7 gives me the same issue. Channel mapping looks fine, press the Continue, and the spinning wait forever circle. Left it spin for over 24 hours - nothing
I fixed this by switching to Chrome to do the DVR setup. This was suggested here: https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/275428/
