Breadcrumb navigation jumps to random areas on latest (8.28) Android TV Beta

I know its the run into xmas but what type of testing and quality control is happening as this is a mess. Selecting the back button after watching a show/movie or even just scrolling around can cause the plex app to jump around to some random place on the navigation side bar. I’ll also add that continuing to press the back button would always bring you back to the home hub and then eventually exiting the app, this is no longer happening.

Very frustrating plex !

Thanks for reporting the issue. Would it be easy to give us steps to replicate or attach a video so we can better understand what you are seeing?

Thought I was clear enough above but let me try again with a specific example.

  • Via the home hub watch some TV episode from your CW list.
  • Once finished select the back button on your shield remote.
  • When it gets back to the plex landing launch page the home hub is not selected and its jumped to the TV Library.
  • Continuing to keep the pressing the back of button sees the UI jump around from the home to TV Shows on the left panel.

Its like the app does not remember correctly where it was last (breadcrumbs) and is going to the library link instead of the home hub.

EDIT: Found an easier example.

  • Start plex app from cold, so kill the app beforehand.
  • It will start on the home hub with the first episode on your CW list highlighted.
  • Now select the left navigation button on your shield remote.
  • It will move from the highlighted item on the home hub to my TV library which is the bottom item on the navigation list.

The expected behaviour should be to have the home hub selected which is the first item on the list.

Thanks for listing detailed steps @anon5074910. We have been able to replicate and raised it internally.

This seems to have been fixed in 8.30.0.30648 :slight_smile:
