This has become so frustrating. Most (but not all) of the time when I press the “back” button from within some media I’m viewing I don’t get back to the right screen context. I drop all the way out to the home page. In more detail: suppose that I’m watching an episode of a TV program in a Season. When I press “back” I expect to the the entire Season screen, allowing to move to a different episode. Instead, it’s like some sort of exception is thrown and I end up at the “Home” screen as a “last resort” way to handle whatever that exception is.
There’s a similar issue where I can no longer customize things like the “Home” screen itself. When I try to get set a setting it bails and goes right to back to the “Home” screen without allowing me to configure anything.
It wasn’t always this way – it’s started happening sometime over the last few months – but because the Android TV app just “auto-updates” I cannot say exactly which version it started happening in.
Is this a known issue? (So far resetting customisations, deleting the app cache, restarting the NVidia Shield – all the “usual suspecdts” have all been useless at solving the problem.)
