I have developed a very customized home screen on Plex using Kometa. It rotates hubs of movies in collections every week or two. My users range from grandmothers to high tech users. But, this hasn’t been good enough.
The biggest problem I have found myself fighting is getting users to the “Collections” tab. People are lazy or unable to learn.
We need the ability to list specific Collections (a hub of collection posters) on the home screen of Plex. Right now it takes SEVERAL STEPS to get to the Collection tab. Things like “Walt Disney,” “Oscar Winners,” “Cary Grant,” etc. would be EXTREMELY helpful to display as single posters on the home screen as a single hub (row) and overcome what is probably the biggest interface issue in Plex (from a user’s viewpoint).
