Bug: Adding "On Deck" to new "Home" view doesn't work as expected

I’m referring to the new feature added that lets you add On Deck to your Home tab. Let me explain my library set up.

I have two “TV” libraries:

  • Anime (“Include in dashboard” is disabled)
  • TV (This is included in dashboard)

When I add the “On Deck” view for Anime to my Home screen, it doesn’t show just the anime shows in that view. Instead, I only see TV shows. Here are my steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to “Shows” tab
  2. Pick the PlexServer (Anime) library at the top
  3. At the top, you should see “On Deck”. Click the “…” menu and select “Add to Home Screen”
  4. Switch to the “Home” tab (at the bottom) and notice that no anime shows are present, instead it is the TV view.

I suspect what is happening here is that there’s really only ever 1 type of “On Deck”, and that’s the main one you usually see in the web player. It is the version of On Deck for all libraries, not just the one for that specific library.

What I expect to happen when I add “On Deck” is for it to be added to my Home Screen showing ONLY what’s on deck for that library. In this case, I only want on deck to show Anime shows.

Yes, this is right. The On Deck on the home screen aggregates content from all the libraries for a given PMS.

However, there seems to be a bug associated to that - even if the Include in dashboard is selected, the On Deck row doesn’t contain content from all the libraries.

Thanks for the report, we’re looking into this.

Thanks. I really do strongly believe there should be support for library specific on Deck on the home screen
