Settings → Quality ; cannot change “Automatically adjust quality” under Video quality, clicking this field does nothing

Yep, clicking these options does nothing.

It does, but only for mobile for now. 
Somethings been done to the androidtv version its working much much better, in fact I don’t think I’ve had an issue. Recordings in progress play from the beginning and I can move around the timeline without crashing.
I agree on FireTV it also seems better but I’m getting bad lip sync for live TV so hopefully when the new code is in there all playback issues for me will be resolved.
I’m using shields and livetv is good in this beta. I’ve got a firetv but never had any luck with livetv on it
btw, were you a SageTV user, recognise your username from their forums… 
Certainly was, ive been with plex a few years now and still can’t believe how poor the DVR & liveTV are compared to sage. Did my research bought shieldtv’s for all the TV’s, they are great but watching live TV on plex through them was awful, hopefully they are now making improvements. Next they need to work on the DVR, all they need to do is copy sage’s features and 99% of people would be happy. I loved the sage forums they were great, we could do with a UK section here as we seem to have quite a few specific needs and problems.
Same here was sage user for a long time, I like Plex mainly plexamp and music side, TV is poor. I think they try and support too many clients myself, their team must be spread thin.
Anyway hopefully this new beta is the start of improving
