[Bug] App Enters Unusable State After Screensaver Kicks In On Play Next Screen

Hi,

I didn’t see this bug reported or in the known issues thread. I have to quit the app by going to my Xbox home screen before the app becomes usable again. I don’t bump into this often, but it is enough where I began to take notice of the steps for the app becoming unusable.

Repro Steps:

  • Disable AutoPlay
  • Enter Series With Greater Than 1 Episodes Unwatched
  • Play First Unwatched Episode
  • Allow Episode to Complete (Pretty Sure You Could FF To The End)
    [Screen Appears Allowing You To Immediately Play Next Episode Or Replay Last Episode]
  • Wait For Screensaver To Start
  • Attempt to Wake App And Play Next Episode

Expected Results: Screensaver dismisses and I am returned to the screen under step 3 above.
Actual Results: Black screen with play\pause\rewind\etc controls. Controls disappear quickly and am left at a black screen.

Further, hitting back at this point returns to a screen where the series\episode details briefly are rendered, but then disappears and just the background gradient image for the Plex app is on screen. I cannot recover or navigate away from this state and must close the app.

The step number in the post above is wrong – should read “step 4” and not “step 3”.

Same issue here play an episode use bathroom or get drink come back to a clear screen and have to force quit plex and restart to get screens back.

Hi there. Thanks for the report. This bug will be fixed in the next release.
