I don’t see a problem here. You’ve selected English as your preferred (native) audio language and want to see Danish subtitles for foreign audio. The video file shown has only an English audio track, so this is not a foreign audio track. Therefore no subtitles are selected.
If an audio track matching your preferred audio language is not found, Plex will try to display the most appropriate subtitle track using the following logic: […]
You’re correct. I did post the wrong screenshot. it should have been the settings from PMS, which is defined this way. This configuration results in subtitles are selected as “None”, which wasn’t the case before this update.
Strangely is is working now, after updating the “Global app settings”.
Which makes me think. Why is there a PMS setting for this also - when only Global app settings is working (which has first priority)? PMS used to be the master (i think)
I’ve never been on this “Global app settings” page before but it shows exactly the same settings as I’ve configured in my account settings in the Plex web app. I assume they are the same or at least synchronized with each other?
They aren’t synchronized. My PMS and Global app settings used different settings. I updated global and automatically subtitle selection worked on PMS. Not logical … when there is a PMS setting for this also.
