I downloaded some media before a trip. I, by mistake, did not have any subtitles selected when I downloaded the media, hence no subtitles were downloaded.
However, now I can no longer download any subtitles for the media at all! The “None” box is not even selectable:
Similarly the Hamburger menu during playback of the downloaded media does not even list any subtitle options.
Now the really stupid and unintuitive part of this is, if I navigate to the show on the media server, I can see and select the subtitles:
However, if I press play on this it will lead to the downloaded media which again does not have any subtitles!
It’s kind of nonsensical and very user unfriendly.
