Bug: Can't Delete Show When DVR is Recording

There seems to be an odd bug in the DVR where a show can’t be deleted if it’s in the same library as a show that is currently recording. I was recording Inhumans in my TV library tonight, but watching Will & Grace at the same time. Inhumans ended at 10, but I finished Will & Grace at 9:45. When I tried to delete Will & Grace, it wouldn’t delete. I tried from android phone, Xbox One, and even directly on the PC. Nothing worked until after 10 PM when Inhumans was done recording.

I had some problems with deleting shows on PMS 1.9.3. I didn’t notice the correlation that you mentioned. I just came back a little later and the delete worked. I will test your theory.

Can you repeat this scenario and have it fail/succeed again?

I recorded two shows end to end. Once the first show finished, I successfully deleted it while the second show was still recording. I went and found another show that I had previously recorded and deleted it too.

I haven’t been able to recreate the issue yet. I was able to delete this time, but the difference is that when it failed yesterday I had a scheduled recording still recording, and I watched a full show end to end, and tried to delete after it finished. I’ll attempt that same exact scenario tonight.

Your right! The trick is to attempt the delete after you watched a show (not sure if you have to watch it all the way thru) and another show is still recording. I was able to delete a show at 10:00 am (right between a recording finishing and a new recording starting) but when I tried to delete another show (one I had previously watched all the way thru) at 10:01 am (after another recording had started), the delete failed.

I am running version 1.9.5 and I just bumped into this problem again. It has not been fixed yet.

There doesn’t seem to be any consistency with the issue. I’m on 1.9.4 and I haven’t seen it as much in the last few weeks. No idea why, just sometimes it doesn’t want to delete.
