[BUG] Cast (Actor) Bio page missing in libraries

Server Version#:1.30.0.6406
Player Version#9.11.0.36456

We were super excited to see Actors Bio page when we clicked on the Actor icons in version 9.10 public release on amazon store, but after update to 9.11 it is gone.. PLEASE… Please.. please bring it back in future release. It was super helpful to cross reference favorite Actors with movies we want to watch.

They haven’t gone anywhere?

So odd.. mine isnt even close to what your seeing.

I am using the player from the amazon appstore for my fire tv., an Insignia 2019 Fire TV. Worked fine in the last official release, but now is capoot on 9.11… weird…

Fire OS 6.2.9.3

Not sure what your system is, but tried uninstalling and reinstalling plex app and it still is the same, no bio page, so weird… please fix this obvious bug.

You can side-load older versions of the app with an app like Downloader, which is also on the Amazon app store.

I’ve done that plenty, but all the more recent releases are plagued by random crashes when trying to start a movie. I liked the bio page, but am more prone to pester dev to get things right in future releases. This bio page issue is an obvious bug and I am not interested in back tracking for a feature that should be standard throughout the releases and players.

As an example, I tried uninstalling 9.11 official and sideloading 9.12.36630 and recieved the below error. Come on guys, couldnt you at least make things a little easier.

Make sure you are using the ‘Plex Movie’ scanner and agent. The ‘Plex’ scanner and agent is necessary to get the advanced feature below.

Disable Include adult content on your libraries advanced settings, force refreshing your libraries metadata afterwards.

I had to also restart Plex Server to get everything to work.

I noted after research that the above setting was causing the bio pages to not show in my libraries.

Not sure why it was enabled for my movies library, but it appears disabling the ‘Include adult content’ match in the advanced library fixed my missing bio pages.

Cheers, guess thats why we poke around in the forums.
