With the most recent versions of Plex, when viewing an actor Plex is showing a list of all things they are in, and if the movie is in your library. However I am seeing inconsistent behavior. For some actors it is working as intended, and others don’t show anything from the local server.
Make sure those movies are
- matched to the new metadata agent
- have had their metadata refreshed
- had their actor data not imported from embedded meta tags

Yeah i am seeing some weird behavior. It looks like they are trying to fix this so I can’t hold too much against it. But for example, if i am in my TV library - using the show The Peripheral for example. I click on the actress Chloe it will take me to a nice new designed actor page and it shows all the TV shows AND surprisingly movies that she is in. However, for Kick-Ass 2 (which is in my Movies lib) it shows it being a Plex Flix and no reference to my library. My Plex movie library isn’t even listed as a Media Library on this page.
If i go to Kick Ass 2 from my Movie Library and click on Chloe - i see the old style page and nothing but movies is listed there. I see to be using the latest agents and scanners.

Does the library have " Include adult content" enabled in its properties?
Include adult content is not enabled
In the movie library’s advanced settings can you confirm that the Visibility setting is set to Exclude from Home screen and global Search?
If this is the case then please change the Visibility setting to any other value, sign out, sign in, and confirm that this title is now showing up in Ann Walker’s Credit page.
I have the default setting of include in home screen and global search for the visibility setting.
Based on your previous screenshots I’m assuming you’re seeing this on the web client, correct? Can you please provide the version you are currently using?
I know you mentioned that metadata was already refreshed months ago but could you please refresh the metadata for this title A Country Christmas Harmony just to make sure.

So what I seeing is that, some pages display/report as above, but if you visit it, then come back later it displays properly. Not sure if some underlying queries never finished indexing correctly, but this appears to only happen until some underlying refresh happens. Was something changed with the actor storage recently? I try to ensure that regular refreshes happen.
Sounds like things are now working as expected! You’re not the first one to report this kind of oddity where everything is following the specific rules (library settings) and metadata appears up to date but there is still something in the way.
I do want to confirm something, did you manually refresh this title’s metadata to resolve the issue or do you believe it was something else? Trying to narrow down the possible hang ups.
