[Bug] Continue Watching fails if something in later season is marked as played

I checked & this is happening on both the Beta Android TV app as well as the standard release. I believe it is a Server issue, but it could be a client issue as well, just does not seem so to me.

  • Windows 10 Server Version 1.26.2.5797
  • Chromecast with Google TV 9.4.0.33105 (37d5a596) Beta Program & others

So I’ve had this problem a few times, I’m not sure when it started, but I just had multiple items so I tested it & it’s a consistent repeatable problem.

  1. Episodes of a show I’m watching were added to my server.
  2. Episodes were in Continue Watching
  3. A friend’s commentary talking about the episodes were sent to me & added as Season 101
  4. Episodes in S101 are marked as Watched
  5. The show completely disappears from the Continue Watching
    a. Restart server does not fix it
    b. Restart app does not fix it
    c. Refresh library does not fix it
    d. Scan library files does not fix it
    e. The only way to return it to the Continue Watching is to access it through other means & either watch a new episode or mark the previous episode as Not Watched, then Exit, Go back, & mark as Watched

On a similar note, the Recently Added no longer updates the corner Played marker or number or when new items are added after the client is open, even when the entry goes away from the Continue Watching it still shows as Unplayed in the Recently Added

Now the item will go back to the Continue Watching if the previous episode is marked as unplayed then marked as played. No need to exit between anymore, so obviously someone is doing something with this issue…
