Hi there,
I think I might have found a bug in the new Plex HTPC client (on Windows).
When I view the page of a movie with DTS audio (just the core), it shows as DTS-HD in the media flags (first image, right side), although the file has no DTS-HD audio (second image).
Same over here. This bug has been in there since day one. I have already mentioned it on the Plex HTPC feedback thread about a year ago. (multiple times even) Plex HTPC feedback - #472 by Mitzsch
Well and its also present in the LG Smart TV app. I opened a thread in the TvAPP part and a Plex employee already noticed. Maybe there is hope that it will be also fixed in Plex HTPC.
What do you see in the server XML (browse to this file in the browser → get info → view XML)? It’s likely just displaying the info it gets from the server.
When already looking at it, maybe it could also display the flavor? So DTS-HD Master Audio would be shown as DTS-HD MA and DTS-HD High-Resolution Audio as DTS-HD HRA?
This seems to be fixed with the latest version (1.19.1). DTS core is now correctly shown as just DTS and DTS-HD as DTS-HD. (although no additional profile like MA or HRA)
Exactly, but would have been nice if it would also show it on the overview screen (like it was in Plex Media Player) but maybe this is not possible due to spacing constraints.
