[BUG] During video playback, Plex will randomly stop as if the media is finished

The past month or so I’ve been having an issue where I’ll be playing video files and they will randomly stop in the middle of it and act like the file is finished. My plex server on a windows pc is up to date as is my software on the shield tv.

Here’s an example of the screen that shows up.

Playback stopped and this screen appeared about 11 minutes into a 40 minute episode. I’ve noticed this on all sorts of video files the past month.

Has anyone experienced this and have a solution?

The file (E18) that says “previous” is actually the video file that was only 1/4 of the way through when it stopped and went to this screen.

Having the same issue here mate.

  • Nvidia Shiled 500 GB.
  • Only happens with tv shows.
  • Happens every time when playing a tv show that has more than one episode in the season.
  • Has been happening for about a month now.
