Bug Fix - Playback Issues when Movie Trailers Are Enabled

For some reason having previews enabled prevents my player 9.27.0.2856 (SONY ANDROID OS) from being able to play 2160pREMUX files. Disabling previews eliminates the issue.

This seems like a bug that can be fixed.

What exactly do you mean with “previews”?

Previews, like trailers that play before a movie

I couldnt get my big REMUX files to play at all, but then I realized i had enabled trailers to play before movies when I downloaded the new player. Disabled them, and boom everything plays fine.

Could you please

  1. activate debug logging (not ‘verbose’!)
  2. quit Plex Server
  3. wait 1 minute
  4. start Plex Server
  5. wait 2 minutes
  6. Enable debug logging in the client as well https://support.plex.tv/articles/201573117-android-android-tv-fire-tv-logs/
  7. Recreate the issue
  8. fetch log files, both from the server and the client, and attach them here

Please zip the log files before uploading them.
