Server Version#: Windows 1.42.2.10156 on both servers
Player Version#: Roku app 8.6.5.10604.ea6e6ca15-Plex
both windows plex servers are the same version. I have 2 homes with 2 different plex servers. with the new roku app release, when i select to display say “Movies” from either plex server they both show up as “ Movies” so “Crookfam Movies” … yet my server names are completely different, see screenshots please. you can see when i select which libraries i want to view in the UI Movies is listed for crookmedia and crookAZMedia, but once i select to show them, in the main UI screen they both list as “Crookfam
Can the Roku at Home1 see and stream from the server at Home2, and vice-versa?
I’m wondering what is making your setup unique from others.
I’ve two Plex servers on my home network. With libraries favorited from both servers, my Roku shows the server name under each library, not my Plex username.
I’m using a Roku Streaming Stick 4K, Plex app v8.6.5.
Thanks for the report @crookfam. This should always show the Server Name (when there are multiple servers), and in some cases, it displays the server owner’s name. We have this on our list to fix.
Ya, my Dad is really confused now. I own both his local server and mine, which he sometimes accesses remotely… and on the libraries favorites section, libraries with the same name like “TV Shows” all just have my username under them but not the server names. It’s really confusing. So this will be fixed? I found your post confusing. Are you saying it’s supposed to show the server name there or you will fix it so it does?
