[bug] Keyboard shortcut backslash "\" for full screen not working in multiple browsers

Server Version#: 1.14.1.5488
Player Version#: 3.83.1

I noticed that for a while now the backslash does not put the player in full screen anymore. I tested this on Microsoft Edge 42.17134.1.0, Google Chrome 71.0.3578.98 and in Chrome OS 71.0.3578.94. The HUD is triggered by pressing \ but it does so with every other key I press so that’s not an indicator.

I don’t see anything meaningful in the developer console either, so I don’t know how to be of any more help.

Confirmed. Reporting bug to the devs. You can also use F10 which is the browsers built in shortcut.

Thanks. F11 and the dedicated full screen key work just fine as a workaround

Oops. F11.

Any update on this (annoying) bug? Anywhere else we can track it’s progress?

I believe this has been fixed in a recent version of Web. Please try the latest hosted version. The bundles version is still behind.

Server updated to Plex Media Server for Linux 1.15.1.710-ece95b3a1 (Fedora x64), but problem persists on two Chromebooks. \ only makes the hud come up/down like before.

The hosted version you want to test is accessed from here: https://app.plex.tv/desktop

It was a Plex Web issue, not PMS issue. This was fixed in 3.89.1. The bundled version of Web hasn’t been updated to that version yet.

  • Fixed the \ player fullscreen toggle keyboard shortcut.

As @darcilicious mentioned, you’ll need to use the hosted version for now.

Hosted version works. Any ETA on when this will be OK without having to use app.plex.tv/desktop?

Confirmed, but only now after a reboot (app.plex.tv works, PMS not yet). Apparently cache? Glad it’s fixed online, I trust local will follow soon

@anon18523487 Thanks, and pass my thanks to the devs!

And I just updated to version 3.91.0 and it’s working again
