PMS for Mac 1.30.0.6442 recording priority and failure to display and alert conflict bug:
Our PMS for Mac records OTA broadcast TV shows streamed from our 4-tuner SiliconDust HDHomeRun HDFX-4K.
3 Dec 2022, 4 movies were scheduled to be recorded overlapping 8:00pm PST – 8:30pm PST, with
2 movies ending at 8:30pm PST.
Saturday Night Live (“SNL”) was scheduled to record at 8:29pm PST – 10:02pm.
The SNL Recording Priority was much higher (and its PMS recording schedule creation months sooner) than all 4 of these movies.
Despite there being a 1-minute recording conflict, Plex for Mac 1.58.1.3380 > Live TV > DVR Schedule did not display any conflicts, nor were any reported when I created the 4 movies’ recording schedules.
Despite the SNL schedule being a higher priority (and having been created months earlier), PMS did not begin recording SNL until 8:30pm PST, not recording the first critical minute of SNL’s opening skit (ie, erroneously not recording 8:29pm PST – 8:30pm PST).
Yesterday, 13 December, yet again PMS for Mac 1.30.0.6486 f’up the recording priorities.
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert has always been scheduled to record New and Repeat Episodes and has always been set as the highest recording priority.
Always.
The DVR scheduled showed it was supposed to be recording from 11:37pm – 12:37am.
PMS did not start recording until 12:00am (ie, did not record the first 23 minutes.)
Then, it f’up again, displaying the previously recorded 8 November as if a duplicate of the 13 December show.
@pl4151 I have looked into conflict checks . We should be flagging conflicts as in the example below - but if we find that one of the conflicts airings is also available at a later date - then we would add the second airing date to the scheduled recordings and not flag it as a conflict
I will look next into the priority order aspects
