I use the Plex app on iOS mostly to track what I’ve watched everywhere. I love the clean interface and appreciate everyone’s hard work in making it possible!
I’ve noticed a bug for quite a long time now, and that’s persisted through the various versions/updates. I’m sorry that I’m only mentioning it now!
Periodically, when I select the circled check mark for marking an entire season of a show as watched (or even marking an entire show as watched), the circled check mark doesn’t display as checked even though the app actually does indeed mark all the individual episodes of a season (or the entire show) as actually watched. Tapping in the circled check mark again leads to the same prompts as if the circled check mark hadn’t been selected.
If everything with the check mark selection works as intended, I wonder if there’s somehow an invisible episode somewhere (in the season or the show, depending on the scope) that isn’t being marked as watched since it is somehow invisible or outside the category of episodes to be marked watched, yet counted towards whether an entire season (or show) has been marked as watched).
I have specific examples/titles where this has happened, but I don’t know if this is specific to my account or iOS users, or mobile apps, or perhaps even overall?
My most recent encounter was with “Sailor Moon Crystal” (2014, 3 seasons):
“Season I: Dark Kingdom” (https://l.plex.tv/gh8PQjk) worked normally when I selected/tapped the circled check mark for the season.
Unfortunately, “Season II: Black Moon” (https://l.plex.tv/dHRJM9W) is the one that exhibited the bug I’ve described above.
I can look for other examples as well, if needed or helpful!
