Also regarding the track no requirement, I still feel this is a bug:
when I move the album away from Plex + rescan lib & reimport entirely + rescan lib, it matches as 1 album, however track no’s found, but still all is fine
when I want to add 1 new track, it creates a new album, unless I set the track no.
Now I know I can either add all track no’s (but limited to 250, so can’t use a some sort of coding) or I need to move the entire album out of Plex every single time & readd.
Hated to discover this, but when I install a Jellyfin server, my issue is a non-issue, it just works… I don’t even have to set the Album Artist and it all turns up in the correct album
no need for track no’s either.
Even the 2019 Lion King album that has very complex artists, just worked as expected without tag changes, all added to the same album.
Oh my god is this annoying. I’ve just cleaned up a bunch of trailing spaces in my tags, renamed the files accordingly and let PLEX rescan the library. Now I have a f*cking mess on my hands, what the hell.
